Ark Encounter

Along with THE CREATION MUSEUM this is the FINEST, most fun, most interesting, fascinating, uplifting, and enlightening place I have ever experienced! I love museums and love what they can teach you. I generally find each of them to be extremely interesting. But, the ARK ENCOUNTER and THE CREATION MUSEUM are at the pinnacle of what they teach one about our origins, the origin of the universe and how God has interacted with us, his creation, from the beginning and through the ages. The ARK takes one from understanding the story on paper and through verbal teachings and makes it tangible. You can see the immense size, effort and size it likely took to carry out the instruction that God gave Noah and his family that led to the preservation of mankind through an unprecedented and once-only event that reset mankind and his relationship with his God but was also instrumental in the reformation of the earth as we know it today. These instructional institutions put "meat on the bones" of so many areas from Creation through the Flood that one can only be overwhelmed by the amount of content and understanding within their walls. Work all that said, the facility was the epitome of cleanliness, order, friendliness, politeness, beauty, good taste, incredible design, and so many other characteristics that it is impossible to list. If you find ANY interest for ANY reason to learn more about the issues that both the ARK ENCOUNTER and THE CREATION MUSEUM can address them please GO! In fact, go and take your family with you! You will find it is worth every mile traveled, every dollar spent and every effort made to experience it for yourself! I'm going to be working to get my children along with my grandchildren there as quickly as possible so that they too can find answers to questions they have and "put the meat on the bones" of events of long ago but affect each of them and all of mankind even today!

We were in the area visiting family and went down while family was at work, oh so worth going! It was incredible to really see the size and understand how much thought and effort had to go into it. It really helped reinforce what we already knew in a fun way. Included in the ticket price was a little zoo area and carousel ride. Also lots of really cool things at the gift shops.

Visiting the Ark Encounter in Kentucky was a memorable and unique experience. The life-size replica of Noah’s Ark is truly impressive, both in scale and craftsmanship. Walking through the exhibits, I appreciated the detailed displays that brought the biblical story to life while also exploring themes of history, science, and faith. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, ready to answer questions or provide additional context. The grounds were clean and well-maintained, with plenty of family-friendly activities, including a zoo and playground for kids. Ticket prices were a bit steep, but the overall experience felt worth it, especially for those interested in biblical history or seeking an engaging, faith-centered outing. It’s a place I’d recommend to families or anyone curious about this massive undertaking.

$15 to park and $65 to enter felt like a lot for me who wanted check it out. It was fairly empty when I visited, and a gentleman with his family was talking about all the people he had prayed with the last time he was here. It's an interesting recreation of a possibility. It's large and over half of it was the ramps going up the 4 floors. As it was pretty empty I was able to see everything I wanted to in an hour... I'm sure you could spend 2-3 and watch all the movies, read all the panels/exhibits.

We loved our visit…both the Ark Encounter experience and the Christmas Experience! It was cold so dress warm for the outdoor Christmas Experience! I was also impressed there was a lot of sitting areas around the Ark Encounter. I was concerned as I have an ankle injury but it did work out well!
