Bananas Fun Park Introduce

Welcome to Bananas Fun Park, an amusement park listed in our Theme Park Directory, located at 2469 Riverside Pkwy, Grand Junction, CO 81505, USA. This venue appears to offer inflatable attractions such as bounce houses for children's entertainment.

Environment: Bananas Fun Park features inflatable attractions, including one that spins with two banana arms for kids to jump or duck under. However, a recent customer experience describes this specific attraction as potentially hazardous. The tip of the inflatable arm was found to be almost rock hard. There was also a concern raised about a ride being under-inflated and having too many children playing on it at once, with a lack of enforced safety protocols.

Services: As a featured amusement park in our Theme Park Directory, Bananas Fun Park provides inflatable play areas for children. They also appear to be involved in community support, as evidenced by a generous donation to STRiVE's 2025 Easter Extravaganza. However, a concerning customer service experience was reported involving the general manager, Sam, who was described as defensive and un-empathetic towards a parent whose child was injured on an attraction. The manager reportedly dismissed safety concerns, cited a "play at your own risk" policy, refused a refund, and called the police on the concerned parent who attempted to document the potential hazard.

Features: The main features of Bananas Fun Park include inflatable attractions like bounce houses and a spinning banana arm ride. However, a significant concern has been raised about the safety of at least one of these attractions, with a report of a child sustaining an injury and the discovery of a hard, potentially dangerous component on an inflatable arm. Additional concerns include possible under-inflation of rides and a lack of adherence to safety protocols by ride operators. The general manager's response to safety concerns was described as defensive and dismissive.

Promotional Information: While Bananas Fun Park has demonstrated community support through donations, recent customer feedback raises serious safety concerns. One customer reported their child being injured on an inflatable ride due to a hard component, and the general manager's reaction was described as un-empathetic and dismissive of the safety hazard. Concerns were also raised about potential under-inflation of rides and a lack of enforced safety protocols. The manager reportedly called the police on the concerned parent. Local users considering Bananas Fun Park should be aware of these recent, significant safety and customer service issues reported by a visitor. It is strongly recommended to consider these experiences when making a decision to visit and perhaps seek more recent reviews or information regarding the park's safety measures and management's responsiveness to safety concerns. For any inquiries, you can contact them at (970) 241-7529 or +1 970-241-7529.

In conclusion, Bananas Fun Park in Grand Junction, CO, as featured in our Theme Park Directory, has shown community support. However, recent customer reviews contain serious allegations regarding safety hazards on inflatable rides, lack of safety enforcement, and unhelpful, defensive management in response to an injured child and expressed safety concerns. Local users should carefully consider this information before visiting.

I had an incredibly disappointing and concerning experience tonight. I brought my wife and two small kids to play on the bounce houses. My 5 year old daughter ran on to the attraction that spins with two banana arms that kids can jump or duck under. One of the arms got caught on a kid and when he moved it flung forward and hit my daughter square on the nose, and I was surprised to see it left a sizable mark that she will probably have a black eye from. I went to inspect the arms since I didn’t think an inflatable could injure her as badly as it did and found that the tip where it is sewn together is almost rock hard. I was concerned that this could hurt other kids so I brought it up to the general manager, Sam, and she was very defensive with me about it. I was simply trying to show her a hazard that she might not be aware of that could really hurt other kids like it did to mine and her comments were more or less that this is a “play at your own risk facility” and that if my kid got hurt then I should leave the attraction. We had just barely gotten there so I said her whole response was un-empathetic towards a child that was hurt and a parent that was trying to point out a hazard, but that is like a refund and we’d go to which she replied she would absolutely not give any refunds, it’s play at your own risk and unfortunate that my kid got hurt but that it happens all the time. After that I took my phone out to take pictures of the area and attraction because it appeared to be under inflated as they had closed the area and were blowing it back up. As soon as I started to take pictures and record she freaked out and demanded I leave, stated I was now trespassing, and immediately got her phone out and called the police! There were numerous concerning things about how the ride was being operated, and safety protocols that were not being followed, and when I brought those up the general manager calls the cops on me?! I asked her to send an officer so i could make a report and that I’d wait outside. While waiting outside I expressed my frustrations at how the entire situation was being handled when I was only trying to point out a hazard that was unsafe that they might not know about. She admitted that quite a few kids have gotten hurt and smacked in the face by this machine, so this isn’t the first time she has probably dealt with an upset parent, and would explain why she was so defensive. In trying to articulate the concerns I had she stated that I didn’t know what I was talking about because I’m not an “inflatables expert” and that she had better things to do. It doesn’t take an expert to see how my child was injured. Or to notice that part of an inflatable that is rock hard when the rest is soft and the hard part catapults forward is a big safety issue. That a ride operator that isn’t following safety protocols (attraction under inflated, about 7-8 kids playing when the max allowed is 4, kids need to stand in certain places that was never explained or enforced, to name a few) and ensuring that kids are playing in a safe manner on an attraction that requires an operator isn’t safe. Also interesting that she saw the attraction was not inflated as it should so she immediately had them airing it up and then had a massive freak out when I took my phone out to document. Yes, I may not be an inflatables expert, but admittedly neither was she, and it doesn’t take an expert to see common sense issues. Incredibly disappointed and concerned that this has been an issue for other families and that management has not fixed it, from the tone of my conversation tonight they have no intentions to fix it, and that the general manager Sam had the audacity to call the police on my and my family when I voiced my concerns. This is incredibly negligent and I’ll be reaching out to others in the community to see how many other kids have been hurt. Maybe a class action will be needed to ensure that our kids aren’t subjected to unknown safety hazards.

Tried to spend my money at get air silo, they were closed to the public, so we came to bananas! Much cheaper and more to do. Good decision. Also less homeless folks to rob your car. Highly recommend.

All the associates were pretty chill. It was a bit on the expensive side, but most places are getting that way nowadays. The family had a great time, and that's what matters. Unfortunately 2 days ago when we went there was a crazy storm, causing a lot of water damage. So, if you are reading this soon after my post, Id call and check if they are even open for sure. Hope everything's ok there!

A GREAT fun place in Junction that is as sparkling clean and nice as the online pics show! We brought 3 grandkids (6,8,10) who did bumper-boats, a little arcade, but just LOVED the big water park. Pleasant teen staff at every turn were helpful and knowledgeable, beautiful landscaping with flowers and faux palm trees. Plenty of shade also. No stairs or steps so easy access physically. I’d get a season pass/ punch card if our kids lived closer since one visit was $85 for what we could do ( one autistic child wanted only the water park) Hot hot day and they had a blast at Bananas Fun Park!
