Our family likes to gather to do an escape room once a year. We have done several escape rooms located in Okc thought we would give this one in Norman a try. Wish we hadn’t. First, we booked this and knew there were no refunds, however, just wanted to get in touch with them to see if I could reachedule our event. They do not answer their phone nor do they answer email. So we went ahead and showed up for the escape. Prior to attending I read several reviews ..some liking this escape. One review described it as a “dollar general” experience. Unfortunately, the experience was a “dollar general “ experience; very cheaply constructed with no imagination involved. You are in a room and given a bunch of keys and locks to figure out. I usually do not write reviews however I would like to save someone some money if they are wanting a fun, challenging interactive experience. Go somewhere else. They want your money for the least amount of effort.

Easy to find, lots of parking. The worker talked very fast and didn't seem comfortable interacting with guests. No eye contact or chit chat. We were asked to follow her down a hall where she disappeared and we were left wondering where to go. The tablet was not functioning properly, so she was probably a little stressed. She brought it back and just told us to watch the tablet, which we really couldn't hear. Maybe have it connect to a speaker? We played the Houdini Room. There didn't seem to be much of a storyline. The tablet is hard to hear and the clues aren't read aloud, you have run to the tablet to read them. It is a small screen. The clues are pretty random, you cannot ask for a clue - they just pop up on a timer. We had already figured out most of the puzzles by the time the clue was given. We solved it with about 15 minutes left and without figuring out one of the clues. Lots of combo locks. Nothing to write on to help figuring things out, like a dry erase board. After we finished, the worker didn't offer to take a pic of our group - missed social media opportunity, I would think. All in all, we had a good time with each other, but were underwhelmed by the lack of storyline and the amount of combo locks.

Worst escape experience we’ve had out of 30 that we’ve done. The girls there were no help at all. They watched us on camera for 30 minutes asking for a hint and didn’t provide one. They were very rude and unhelpful. When you pay that much for a room you expect it to be a good time. This was not. They said if they saw us struggling they’d come over the screen with a hint. We literally sat there for 30+ min asking for a hint with two locks left and they blatantly ignored us. We’ve done 30 rooms and have only not gotten out of one, and this one was the absolutely worst place we’ve been. Do not recommend. Red Door escape has been the best. Even okc escape and Moore escape have been decent. This one not only sucks but the workers were worse. As much as we love doing escape rooms and these are the last ones we have left in the Oklahoma areas….We will not be back to finish out any more.

We did the Jumanji room. The puzzles were fine. It was a good room for our kids. I didn't like that they didn't have something write on. And that they weren't really attentive. You had to call them at the front desk if you needed anything. They also didn't offer a picture and we were not even met when we escaped the room. Overall we have had better experiences at both bigger and smaller escape places.

Not a bad place, even if a little smaller. My issue had principally to do with the puzzles in our Area 51 themed room. While the final couple of puzzles were fun, they took only a few minutes to complete, before we cleared the room. It would have been nicer if they'd had a little more complexity to them. On the other hand, the first several puzzles (basically everything other than the last few) were quite the opposite. Rather than following from a sequence of logical clues and notes scattered throughout the room, several (as in 4-5) of the locks/combinations/puzzles had codes/solutions that were just randomly chosen numbers from the pages and decorations around the room. Given that there aren't an enormous number of appropriate length numbers/keywords to choose from (a few dozen) due to the small size of the room, using a brute force method isn't difficult. However, it's also not especially fun. A little more thought and creativity on how to use puzzles to lead the participants to the answers would have gone a long way. If all of the puzzles had been more like the last few, albeit with some added layers of complexity, the room would have been really fun. As it stands now, however, the room amounted to 40 min of guessing randomly at various tangentially relevant number combinations (the most egregious of these being 1950), and less than 10 min of more engaging puzzles. I guess they were on the cheaper side though....
