Escapology Escape Rooms Solon

This was our second time here & hands down is the best escape room facility around! We had the pleasure of having Nick be our escapologist & he is phenomenal!! He was attentive, hilarious, & kept our drinks flowing! We did the lost city room this time which was a blast & while it made us have to use or brains because those puzzles are no joke we escaped with 1 second left! Of course, we couldn’t have done it without nicks help! Nick even said we were a fun group to watch. We are planning our next group trip to come back out here & concur another room! PS Nick if you read this, I’m still waiting on my name to go up on the wall of fame for my clever answers 😉

always a blast doing escape rooms here! i love the bar while waiting to begin. Nick is a pleasure to work with and we look forward to seeing him the next time we come back!! murder mansion is an expert ranked room that we were curious about but decided to give it a try. we escaped using 4 hints with 30 seconds left but had an absolute blast with all of the mechanics and how some aspects were revealed early but not used until later in the game

Reviews and online presence seemed great, but the actual experience wasn’t as expected. First of all, they use the official room’s photos on their website, not actual images from their escape rooms. The main props are the same, but the rooms themselves don’t look as impressive as the online photos (not a big deal but definitely misleading). We came in the afternoon, and the woman who was working the front desk was in a horrible mood, not friendly whatsoever. While in the room, there were several occasions where we spent minutes waiting for our hint after pressing the button, or they gave us the wrong hint multiple times in a row. The absolute worst part was at the end of the room where we were working to crack the safe. We accidentally missed one number at the beginning of the code combination, but when we tried the second time the safe completely shut off. We thought the game runners shut the safe off because we only had 30 seconds left, but it turns out the safe locks for 5 MINUTES if you enter too many wrong codes. An insane rule for an escape room, especially when it isn’t explained to you. Overall, would’ve been more enjoyable if the images better matched what was online, the staff seemed less miserable and the game didn’t cheat just so we didn’t win.

It sounds like when Nick is there things are better... We did the Santa room and some of the clues were off to even start the room. One of them you have to figure out colors and match them and there are several colors that are not quite clear what they are. Also the room was like 100 degrees which made it even more frustrating. In the second part of the room, some of the clues were not cleaned which leads to confusion. I've been to several escape rooms around the area and this one didn't hit the mark for me. Which is sad since its the only one in the area. Also, I would say they need to have some better beginner rooms. Hook people in so they come back as we wont. But all the 5 star reviews mention Nick and this person definitely wasn't there. When it was over we didn't win and no one even came in got us or said goodbye. This is not the experience I have had at other places add on its like $35+tax and you have 7 people. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Fanciest waiting room for an escape room ever. Also the first time I have ever seen a bar at an escape room. The room was fairly easy until one last part. Used 3 clues trying to figure it out which doesn't make a lot of sense to have to use 3 clues on one thing. Otherwise a good time. The room was not very interactive in the sense it is more of a paper and key type room.
