Forest Park Carousel Amusement Village

The carousel ride was very pleasant and enjoyable. The ticket price of $4 per ride was ok. The train ride was short. The park is small and has only a few rides but having a small amusement park inside the forest park is great because you can take your kids for a fun break( after they're tired of running fun). I would give it a 3 stars but extra star because my daughter loved the train ride.

I went to the Forest Park in Queens New York around the beginning of September 2024. There were a few people there, sitting, walking, or exercising. It is a very nice park gifted with an amusement park for children. And there is a very nice carousel. As an adult, I rode the carousel and I had a relaxing wonderful ride. It was turning at the right speed and I enjoyed it very much. While I was there enjoying the beauty of the environment 2 other female adults came and pay their reasonable fare of $ 4.50 each for a ride (reasonable price).

If you cherish things from the past, then you will enjoy taking a ride & pictures of this original carousel. Just the faint smell of the oil that gets this huge ride going is enough to take me back in time to 1903, when this ride was built. It was moved here in 1972 from Massachusetts. The front horses (amongst other animals), in the front remain stationary, while the horses in the back on the upper level traditionally go up & down. This carousel moves rather faster than most of today's common carousels, and is much larger in comparison as well. It is worth the visit to take a ride on this beauty! My toddler daughter had a blast & this is 1 of her favorite carousels now.

This is a neighborhood staple. This place brings back many memories for me as a kid. My dad would take us here all the time. It’s cute that they’ve added another 2 rides, a game or two as well.
