It's definitely a great place for restaurants and nightlife! Most weekends the streets are closed off from cars to you can walk down 5th ave for a few blocks and explore!

The gaslamp district is alot of fun. It is very popular and crowded. The district has many historical and beautiful buildings. The biggest negative are the people who have enjoyed themselves too much and the newest fad of adults riding the electric scooters. The sidewalks look like a junk yard warzone littered everywhere with these scooters that pilgrims who have been drinking and have.never ridden a scooter that goes 30 miles and hour in traffic witb no regard to the pedestrians and traffic.

It was both great and not great. Fantastic area for walking, restaurants and clubs. It's also very very noisy until 3am. Be careful where you stay and your room location. Overall, an excellent place.

This is a small place to explore at night but beautiful. Located just across the SD Convention Center.
