NTER - North Texas Escape Rooms

There were 3 of us and we had a great time. The puzzles were well thought out and challenging with the exception of 2 things which we communicated to the staff. Our first impression wasn't good as both bathrooms needed to be cleaned, but aside from that area for improvement, we would come back for another experience.

my sister was in town for the holidays, my daughter (9) really wanted to do an escape room with her. (Not my thing!) but I went ahead and decided to do this room with them. We got there - warmly greeted. Paid and got a discount as it was a Tuesday before 5! Met our game master (the all mighty) Peyton. She was PHENOMENAL!!!! We chose Aunt Carols closet. Whoa!!!! What a BLAST! challenging yet not impossible for a 9 year old to figure out! We did the 60 minute experience and got out with 6 or so minutes to spare. My daughter was through the roof with excitement. She wanted to of course DO IT AGAIN! we opted to talk her into waiting for another day lol! BUT when we do go back and we will- we will see if Peyton can be our game master again! So kind. Pleasant. Polite! All the things. So glad we found this place!

Very nice people, however we did Submerged and there was a lock that was broken and we after several attempts to open it and fail (with the right code) the room master told us you had to use a lot of force because it was broken. Also, there were several combination locks that you could not read the letters/numbers on. We did not finish and when we were asking the room master about finishing, he was not really interested in telling us what we lacked. Just told us that it was very hard room to crack. Also, when we asked about the dark blue Morse code on the wall, he stated that he had to tell everyone about it and that there was not really a clue for that.

We enjoy going to do escape rooms across the country. We’ve done every room in the Plano location, and now this McKinney location for north Texas escape rooms. Kyra was our game master for a few of the rooms and she is simply amazing! She is enthusiastic and just fun. The only thing thing that was an issue on several of the rooms, (probably due to abuse over time) the objects or puzzles did not work and the game masters had to pause the clock and come open the objects or doors or whatever the item was. Submerged is the hardest room I have come across, it’s one you definitely need a few more people to join you on! Aunt Carol’s Closet was our favorite!
