Welcome to Round1 Arcade at The Shops at Mission Viejo, an amusement center listed in the Theme Park Directory, located at Shops At Mission Viejo, Mission Viejo, CA 92691, USA. You can contact them at (949) 373-7955 or via mobile at +1 949-373-7955.

Environment: Round1 Arcade offers a variety of arcade games, including claw machines and other ticket-dispensing games. The specific layout and ambiance are not detailed, but it includes a back section with additional games.

Services: The primary services include providing access to a range of arcade games where customers can spend points purchased on a card to play and potentially win toys from claw machines or tickets to redeem for prizes. While one initial experience suggests the claw machines could be winnable, a subsequent visit indicates a significant decrease in winnability and poor ticket payout from other games.

Features: A notable feature is the availability of claw machine games and a selection of other arcade games. Initial experiences suggested a reasonable chance of winning larger toys from the claw machines, but later feedback indicates that the odds may be heavily stacked against players, with minimal success even with perceived good claw placement. The ticket payout from other arcade games is also described as minimal, making it difficult to accrue enough points for prizes. The experience with claw machines appears to vary significantly between visits.

I am a huge fan of claw machine games but not when the odds are so stacked against you. It didn't even feel like a "near chance" because even when the claw has good placement and grip on the toy, it rarely gets a chance to move closer to the chute. It almost always immediately drops the toy at the top. The exception would be for tiny key chain sized toys, the odds are better for those machines. I will never be returning here for claw machines, maybe just arcade games.

The first time we went here with my 3 kids, we bought $35 worth of points on the card and all of my kids won a large toy from the claw machine AND we had a handful of points to play a few games in the back section. I thought this place was the perfect mix of challenging but still winnable after a few tries, for my kids. They were over the moon because they, like most people, are extremely aware of how rare it is to win claw machine games. Most claw machines are nearly impossible to win because of lack of claw pressure, way the toys are configured/smooshed together in the machine, and etc. We came back this time because my daughter's only birthday wish was to come here. We paid for $75 and won nothing. Tried to play some games and got minimal tickets. Not enough to buy even the smallest stuffed animal for 150 points. I was so excited about this place and so were my kids. Thought this really could be a fun arcade that my kids could enjoy. Instead, we all walked away frustrated and with $75 less. Just took my daughter to build a bear instead. Sadly, we aren't returning here. It is absolutely NOT WORTH IT. You will get minimal tickets from the games and you will waste a ton of money on claw machines that have now become impossible to win. LOOK ELSEWHERE.

This place is fun, but the staff is terrible. We don’t expect top-tier customer service here, but we do expect some basic help when things go wrong. One of the claw machines was broken — it took our money but didn’t work. I thought I swiped my card the wrong way, but after trying a few times, I realized the machine itself was the problem. There was no staff around to help. After waiting 15 minutes, someone finally came out from the back. The young technician was completely unhelpful. He told me to swipe my card again on the broken machine, even though it was showing an error code. Why ask me to swipe again if he already knew it was broken? I explained I had already swiped three times and lost money. Instead of listening, he yelled at me and said he’d swipe his own card for me. He swiped once, then walked away and never came back. Terrible experience.

Fantastic arcade. We never leave without winning 4-5 plush stuffed animals from the crane games. If you know what you’re doing with crane games, you can always win. Ignore the negative reviews from people who are clueless. Round 1 is a lot of fun. The food however is WAY overpriced and mediocre. Arcade games are all brand new. They clean and disinfect the place constantly which is nice. It’s never crowded and there are never any lines. Highly recommended.

Great for rhythm games, though it's a mini Round1 due to the absence of a bowling alley. Additionally, there’s an unusually high number of claw machines compared to other attractions. One thing to note: while Round1 stays open until 11 PM, the mall closes at 8PM, however they say you can use the food court entrance after mall hours to get there. This Round1 doesn't have it's own dedicated entrance. During mall hours I would go through Macy's (fastest) or Nordstrom (not as fast, but works).
