It was such an AWESOME place!! There is gem mining, playgrounds, animals and more! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! It's neat that they also do summer camps and birthday parties.

This place was the best! We were visiting NC last minute and looking for some fun things to do with our kids of varying ages (13, 10 and 3). We love hunting for rocks and have visited many places to pan of rocks/gems across the US but this was by far the best we have ever visited. Their prices were very fair. I loved the open space they had available for the kids to stretch their legs and play. After we finished panning our youngest was able to entertain himself on the playground and building with the jenga like blocks and dinosaurs. While, my other two hunted for fallen treasures on the ground. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable and spent hours talking to our son who is obsessed with rocks. She helped him find and identify several rocks, gems and fossils answering all of his (and my) questions in the process. I would definitely recommend coming here!!

Great place for birthdays, or just spending a fun morning with kids. We live so close, and I can't count how many times we passed this place and didn't know it existed... We had a birthday party there. Kids had a blast just exploring all the fun areas (caves, goat petting, swings, and more), followed by the main activity which was mining rocks. You can add special gems for extra $, then relax in a shaded area for some food. We actually stayed after the birthday was over and played outdoors. A few things to notice: - it was warm, so if you are booking a bday, do it in the 1st shift (10:30am) - make sure if there is another event. We were rushed to finish by the employees, but there was no event there. We could actually pay a little extra and won't be in a rush to leave Bottom line: we will be back. It was super-fun :)

My family and I are visiting Cary and decided to stop by this past weekend with our kids. This was a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We all enjoyed the experience and felt that it was a good value for the price of the buckets. I purchased the jackpot bucket and shared it with my 10 year old. We left with 2 gallon size bags of gemstones. There were also precious gems in our bucket. We got a few nice sized rubies or sapphires (unsure as both can be red) and garnets.

My daughter, 6, enjoyed it. Lots of little play areas. It was about $5 for her to play. We picked the $9 pan bucket. She found d so.e cool pieces. It was shaded. Lots of places to sit or explore. Friendly, knowledgeable service.
