I like this little park. I'm the summer the splash pad is open and kids play and parents watch. Some of them anyway. Most the time three is a parent with the 6 kids but the parent usually delegates the child care to the one teenage daughter they that came with them. There is two nice fields that apparently have been designated for soccer , like every other park fields around, but unless there had been a reservation made it is first come first serve even if your playing badminton. Some of these soccer players don't know that so don't be surprised if your using the field for other activities some soccer players may come and intrude on thy space with a false sense of entitlement. The bathrooms are open sometimes but not all the time and there seems to be no posted schedules so be prepared to share the one porta potty with everyone else including the people that may live there. Over all nice park and good people watching.

My first time there, I took one of my grandchildren, and she loved it! They have a large grassy area, where you can play team sports, or just run around. They have a good size area with water features, for the kids to splash around in, and they have a playground area with toys for the kids to climb on and around. The only downside, were two parents who were chasing each other through the water features, and not watching out for kids. This was the only negative to an otherwise wonderful visit! They even have flush toilets, and ice cream trucks driving through. I will take my other grandchildren there, as they visit throughout the summer!

I shot some pictures up of the backside of the park. If your intent is to stay away from the river then the park area is beautiful and safe. Just be careful if you plan to go to the water, lots of trash/glass back there. Try to have fun and stay safe folks!

Fun spot for kids because there are fountains, a big field, and a park. However, it gets SO busy and there isn't much for shade or for tables. So it's hard as a parent to find a spot close enough to watch your kids run around in the fountains. Good place for gatherings in the big field grass areas though. They do have a good amount of parking. Ice cream trucks often come through in the summer time. Convenient location as it is right across from Fred Meyer.
