Splash Pad Introduce

Welcome to Splash Pad, a local attraction featured in our Water Park Directory! Located at 1 West Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46142, USA, Splash Pad offers a combination of water play and playground activities for families and children in the Greenwood area.

Based on customer reviews, Splash Pad provides a nice outdoor recreational space. A notable feature of the playground area is the presence of canopies over the equipment, offering shade. However, some of the playground tiles are made of black rubber, which can still become hot in direct sunlight, so wearing shoes is recommended for comfort and safety.

The splash pad itself is described as "pretty nice," although it is noted that the surface is concrete. Despite this, children seem to enjoy the water play area. However, one significant safety concern was raised by a reviewer who reported their child slipping and falling on the concrete splash pad, nearly hitting their head. This reviewer identified several spots where water pools due to slight dips in the concrete, creating extremely slick surfaces likely caused by a hard water rust-type film. They strongly advise caution due to this potential hazard.

As a listing in our Water Park Directory, Splash Pad offers a local option for water-based fun combined with playground amenities. However, potential visitors should be aware of the feedback regarding the slick spots on the concrete splash pad and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of children during play.

We've been here twice. The canopies over the play ground equipment is awesome. Some of the tiles are black rubber which still gets hot if the sun hits them, so shoes are a must! The splash pad is pretty nice, despite being concrete. The kids never seem to mind much.

It's a nice park, but please be aware! My child was jumping in the splash pad and slipped and fell, nearly hitting her skull on the concrete. I found that there were a couple spots where there is a slight dip in the concrete which allows water to pool and there 3 or 4 of these spots that when I checked them were extremely slick. The spots are fairly easy to see because it has hard water rust type film in the pools which is probably what makes it so slippery. Just thank God I was able to catch my daughter. He had was about 2 inches from cracking on the ground.

Great place. But please use caution with the kiddos at the splash pad. I witnessed several kids fall and hurt themselves because of a slick section that probably needs pressure washed to clean off that area so it's no longer a danger. If anyone knows the proper management to contact about this please do so. Thanks 馃憤馃徑

One of the best FREE places to take young kids. The splash pad is such a great way for your little ones to burn off that summer time energy while staying cool. In recent years they have added shaded seating which is wonderful! I remember how hot it used to be before those installations. I'm not a fan of the black ground pads for the playground area cause it does get hot, but it's not a big deal provided you can get the kids to wear shoes. Luckily the splash pad is regular concrete so it doesn't heat up the same way the playground does. It's also set away from the main roads so it's less stressful for parents who are afraid of their kids running towards the busy streets.
