The Max Family Entertainment Introduce

Welcome to The Max Family Entertainment, an amusement center listed in our Theme Park Directory, located at 1015 Red Bank Rd, Orangeburg, SC 29118, USA. This venue reportedly offers a variety of activities, including go-carts, mini-golf, bowling, jumping areas, laser tag, bumper cars, and arcade games.

Environment: The Max Family Entertainment is described as a big facility with many options available, reportedly more so on the weekends. However, multiple customer reviews paint a concerning picture of the environment during visits. There are complaints about a significant number of attractions being non-operational, including go-carts, mini-golf, and bowling during a scheduled birthday party. Additionally, a substantial portion of the arcade games were also reported as not working, and the prize redemption area was almost empty. There are also mentions of a non-operational Icee machine. One review suggests that during weekdays, the facility might feel ignored by the limited staff present.

Services: Customer reviews indicate significant issues with the services at The Max Family Entertainment. One reviewer detailed a disappointing birthday party experience where numerous advertised attractions were out of service upon arrival. They also reported difficulty in finding staff to operate laser tag and experienced breakdowns with the bumper cars, leaving only two out of six functioning. Another recurring complaint is the lack of staff presence, particularly during weekdays, with claims of being ignored by the few staff members who do show up. There are also reports of unanswered phone calls when trying to inquire about party packages or operational status. The absence of court monitors in the jumping area, despite a posted warning, is another serious service concern.

Features: The advertised features of The Max Family Entertainment include go-carts, mini-golf, bowling, a jumping area, laser tag, bumper cars, and an arcade. However, recent reviews indicate that the operational status of these features can be unreliable. Customers have reported that go-carts, mini-golf, and bowling were not working during their visits. The bumper cars had a high rate of malfunction, and a large percentage of the arcade games were out of service. The jumping area reportedly lacked supervision despite posted safety warnings. The prize redemption for arcade tickets was also described as almost completely empty.

Promotional Information: One customer reported paying almost $200 for four children to access jumping, laser tag, bumper cars, and receive a $10 game card, highlighting the cost of the limited available activities. However, there is no information about general promotional offers. Given the numerous negative reviews regarding non-operational attractions and poor service, local users are strongly advised to contact The Max Family Entertainment directly at (803) 937-5959 or +1 803-937-5959 to inquire about the current operational status of all attractions before planning a visit, especially for special events like birthday parties. The inability to reach them by phone as reported in a review is also a factor to consider.

In conclusion, The Max Family Entertainment in Orangeburg, SC, as listed in our Theme Park Directory, appears to offer a variety of family entertainment options. However, numerous recent customer reviews detail significant issues, including a high number of non-operational attractions, understaffing, poor customer service, and a lack of maintenance. Local users should exercise caution and strongly consider contacting the venue to verify the availability of desired activities and the quality of service before visiting.

My son was having his birthday party with three friends there today. We were so disappointed. I had found this place online and saw all of the activities they had there. We had told everyone that the plans were they could do everything. Two of his guest drove over an hour to attend his party. Once arriving we were told the go carts, mini golf and bowling were all not working. I paid almost $200 for the four kids to jump, play laser tag, ride bumper cards and get a $10 game card. When it came time to play laser tag we could not find anyone to let us in. We had to get a worker to find someone. When they went to ride the bumper cars only three of the six were working so his four guest could not all ride together. We decided to let two ride at a time. The second set of riders had their car break down in the middle of the ride so then that left only two out of six bumper cars working. One forth of the arcade game were not working. The prize where they could cash in their tickets from the games was almost completely empty. After jumping I went to purchase them all an Icee drink to find out…. You guessed it the icee machine was not working. This was such a huge disappointment for my sons birthday party. I wish we had taken the time to drive to Columbia or Charleston but I was sure hoping for a little more out of our town. Please try and check with them to see what’s working before wasting your time going there. But I also tried calling numerous time this week before we went just to see if they had any package available for a party and guess what no one would ever answer the phone. I guess the phone lines were also broke.

It's big with so many options for the kids, however only on the weekends. I understand that during the week there aren't many people, but for those who do come, they should get to have a good experience. No outside food or drinks, okay open the concession stand. If you come during the weekdays, you can jump and or play in the arcade while being ignored by every staff member who decides to show up. "Do not jump if a MAX court monitor is not present" NO ONE is present. Either hire people to work, or only keep it open on the weekends. The amount of people is an incentive, but at this point it seems like it's the only incentive. My son was so excited to go here for his birthday and I'm taking him to Dave & Busters because this was a disaster.

Signing out the wavers and purchasing our tickets were easy, the workers were very kind! We had a great time in the soft play area. Kaitlin was a very friendly worker, ensuring the kids were safe. The indoor playground was very attractive for our young kids, they chose the playground over the trampoline park. We will be back!

Opted to have The Max host our daughter's birthday party, and 10/10 would recommend! They made the process super easy and fun. All the kiddos had a great time and the food was delicious.

The Max Family Entertainment is really 😎 cool and entertaining for Orangeburg, This is a Great establishment for Orangeburg and the surrounding areas. Awesome for the kids especially so they don't have to travel to Columbia. I still think it's a little pricey but hey I'm cheap 😆. They did the Trampoline for 1hr, Laser-Tag for 15mins, Bumper Cars for about 10mins and $5 on Arcade for $30. It's a nice establishment but they need way more Arcade games. They also have an Escape Room I said that'll be good for the audlts but I haven't tried it. They also have a soft play area for the smaller kids.
