Zap Zone at BIG Best In Games Introduce
Welcome to Zap Zone at BIG Best In Games, located at 4095 Carpenter Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197, USA. As part of the Theme Park Directory, this amusement center offers a range of activities including laser tag, go-karts, ax throwing, and an arcade.
Upon initial entry, the facility may appear visually appealing and promising for a fun experience. However, customer reviews present a mixed picture regarding the overall experience. While one recent visitor reported having a great time and specifically enjoyed the indoor go-karts, a more detailed review expressed significant dissatisfaction.
Concerns were raised about the rudeness and lack of attentiveness of most of the staff. Customers reported difficulty finding staff members for assistance and encountering unhelpful attitudes at various attractions, including the 'Gravedigger' experience where a headset malfunction was allegedly ignored. Accessibility issues were also highlighted, with a visitor using a walker and cane experiencing a lack of information about stairs at the laser tag arena and needing assistance.
The food service also received negative feedback. The food at the bottom bar was described as extremely expensive with no ingredient information provided. A significant concern was raised regarding the handling of a severe peanut allergy, with the customer having to be overly cautious due to a lack of information. Service during lunch was reported as poor, with long waits for drinks and a lack of follow-up from staff. The quality of some food items was also criticized, with an ice-cold chicken parm sandwich and poorly prepared fish being mentioned.
The laser tag experience was deemed less enjoyable compared to another location, with only one level and two bases, and a lack of the advertised bonus features. The go-kart track was noted to be cool but very small. The ax throwing and Chinese star throwing were described as boring, with minimal instruction provided by the staff.
In conclusion, while Zap Zone at BIG Best In Games offers a variety of attractions, recent customer feedback indicates potential issues with staff attitude, customer service, food quality and service, and the quality of some attractions. One reviewer strongly recommended visiting a different location of the same brand instead. Visitors have reported spending a significant amount of money for a day of activities, and it is advisable to consider the recent feedback when planning a visit.

So when you first walk in it looks amazing and looks like it's going to be a lot of fun We had fun, although we will never come back here Most of the staff was very rude or just didn't care. There were no wandering staff members to help you. You had to go find somebody if you needed help with anything When you got on to like some of their attractions, most of the staff were extremely rude. My wife and I and my daughter and her friend rode the gravedigger experience and my wife's headset did not work at all. When the ride was finished the guy came up and I told him about it and he was like okay and just ignored us Also the guy at the gravedigger ride tried to stop me from riding because I had a walker and stopped me at the gate and asked somebody to come over and she was like yeah what about it and let me in The food at the bottom bar was extremely expensive. There were no explanations of food that they had on there like what was in the items that they had. No ingredients, nothing. Just a picture that you couldn't zoom in on My daughter brought a friend who has an extreme peanut allergy and had to be extremely careful on what he ordered because of the fact that his peanut allergy could kill him if he ate something. We spent $77 on lunch and when we sat down to eat nobody came out to ask us if we wanted drinks. Nobody was walking around at all. I had to go to a bartender to get some to-go boxes and when the guy brought out our food there was no service like he just dropped the food off and was going to walk away and I asked him where do we get cup some water from and he actually went and got us some cups of water but we sat there for almost 20 minutes with nothing to drink at all and no service to ask us if we wanted something My chicken parm sandwich was ice cold and it was 14 or $15 My wife, 1 lb of fish looked like a McDonald's chicken nugget. She got three extremely small pieces of fish that were battered and fried to death. They smelled like old oil My daughter's wings were good but only because they were a buy one get one free which we were not told. She actually ordered wings and didn't know that it was a buy one get one free so she got lucky on that one because it was a Michigan football game day. Her friend sandwich was pretty good but again he had to careful because of his allergy The laser tag was not near as fun as it should be. We go to the zap zone in highland and have so much fun at the laser tag This laser tag was only one level. There were only two bases that we could find a green and a red and you had to walk up two flights of stairs which I was unaware of because I use a walker and a cane. I had to be helped up and down the stairs because I was not told that there were two flights upstairs you had to go up. When you go into the laser tag, they have a video playing talking about explosive bases and other little bonus bases and there were none of those in the laser tag area. There were only two bases, a red and a green The go-kart track was cool again though. Very small The ax throwing in Chinese star throwing was actually kind of boring for one thing. The staff didn't tell you anything about how to throw the Stars. They instructed you on how to throw the axes one time for about 30 seconds and then walked away We had to find somebody that worked at the bar there to help us even get into the ax throwing and stuff because nobody acknowledged you We do wish the go-kart track was at the other zap zone in highland because we will definitely be going back there more often All in all we spent almost $ $465 for four of us to play for the day for unlimited bands and $100 in tokens to split and also lunch which was $77 and that's included in the total that I just posted I would definitely say if you're going to go to a zap zone go to the one in highland. They don't have go-karts or ax throwing but it's so much better. The staff is amazing there (highland) and this one is not the staff is actually rude and horrible at this one. We only had two staff members that were nice to us all day

Had a great time. Zap Zone has come a long way! Worth the stop. Indoor Go Karts were legit!

We had my nieces birthday there and for the money you pay, it’s not worth it. You get a space (not a room) for an hour to order your pizza (which takes 20-30 minutes to come out, and you only get 3 with 2 pitchers of pop) have cake and presents. The girl that was in charge of our party kept disappearing and did not bring things like plates, forks or napkins which were suppose to be provided. Then as we were doing cake and opening presents she told us we needed to be out in 10 minutes because they needed our space. You would think they would take the kids to do something while waiting for the pizza, and give you more time for the money you spend..

Our family ventured to this establishment as we love games. Arcade games were okay at best, many of them did not pay out the tickets that were earned, seems machines need some calibration. Laser tag was most disappointing. As were entered the staging area, it reeked of marijana. It was apparent that the workers were trading trips out the doors to partake. As this is an establishment for all ages and families, it is NOT acceptable. I would also think it is a safety issue for employees to consum drugs and operating some of the attractions, especially as a patronis required to sign wavers releasing liability for injury. Also it was not posted anywhere that the all day wrist band end at 9 for laser tag.

Laser tag was a ton of fun & it was easy to set up a "party" at a convenient time, the online reservation system is great. The staff was friendly & professional, overall our group had a great time & I'd come back :)
