Escape Room South

Terribly Unprofessional. If I could give zero stars, I would. We called Sunday night to make a reservation for Monday evening, talked to a woman on the phone, everything was perfectly set up for a 7pm reservation on Monday. The person from our party who booked it received an email during the day on Monday saying they were closed and we were automatically re-booked for 7pm Wednesday. After calling and talking to the same woman on the phone, we got it figured out that they were in fact open and we could come in. Showed up. Doors Locked. No one is there. After calling 2 times, with no answer, the same woman picked up my 3rd call. Stating they were in fact open, discussed why my reservation was changed, and said “Let me call the girl who should be working to see if she can come in for your guys.” No. We asked for a refund, and will not be back.

Great experience, super fun! The owner was so nice and helpful and we escaped, just in time! Highly recommend for a fun activity. We went for our daughter’s birthday and she had a blast.

I went to the escape room south with a bunch of friends for their opening night of their farm themed escape room. I’ve been to a few escape rooms so I wasn’t new to the process. I really like how this facility in particular has an icebreaker of sorts before you enter the room to kind of train you for what kind of puzzles you’ll be looking for. I was however a little disappointed when we entered the room and one of the very first clues was left open. While it might’ve advanced our escape time a little bit, it really threw us off because it didn’t appear to be a clue because it wasn’t assembled, it was just there. Then about halfway through there was another misplaced clue. When we talked to the owners about it afterwards they indicated that they would have us back for another run when the theme changed (we thought we were getting a complimentary pass due to their error). We got an email coupon for like $5 off. :-/ Overall I enjoy this escape room, it’s location, the complexity of the puzzles and the employees. It is not the most organized or in-depth escape room that I’ve been to but I would return for sure.

This was such a fantastic experience for my whole family! The room was so well done, the place was convenient to get to, and the staff was kind and interactive which made the experience even more fun. We will definitely be back & recommending it to our friends! So thankful to have this as a fun family activity in our area!

First off the Game Master was fabulous- thank you Alyssa (sp)!! She brought the overall experience from a 2 to a 4. The room eh. Interesting concept with nicely themed puzzles. Unfortunately, several puzzles require either external knowledge of some relatively higher education and/ or luck. A few tweaks to provide direction and/or guidance on more esoteric subjects would have made a world of difference. I've played 20+ rooms and my wife 30+ and this is not the first we've seen a couple others in the past that had this same flaw. Better rooms will put posters up or some other way of explaining concepts that are not common knowledge. It's still up to the players to discern what they reference and apply it, but you aren't left frustrated for not having retained PHD level knowledge of very specific subject matters.
