We went in for bowling and Karaoke night… we were having issues with the system and finally had assistance, the nice guy gave us additional time for the inconvenience… after we were done, they held our ID trying to make us pay for the additional time that THEY offered.. we spent almost $400 for just an outing, it wasn’t even about the money… Juan kept saying he didn’t know if the other guy said it.. didn’t even try to confirm it. It was a terrible service experience…

I'm back in the area for a months-long trip and was looking forward to hitting the Salinas Round 1 up to play Dance Dance Revolution while I'm here, but for a week or so now the machine has been out of service. From what I was told, they are unable to get the machine fixed for an indeterminate amount of time because the piece needed to fix it is on back order, so it could be weeks, even longer, before it's taken care of. It's really disappointing to hear this. I remember when I was here 4 years or so ago when they had 3 DDR machines, so even if one was having issues you never had to worry because there was others to use as backup. Now the primary reason I would visit on the weekends may not be fixed for a while. It's doubly frustrating since the San Jose location still has 3 DDR machines, as far as I am aware. Given the situation here where they don't know how long a fix will take due to stock issues, why not see if regional management can relocate one of the San Jose machines? I still have to give the location a 4/5 though because the staff has always been friendly no matter when I come down and able to help out and answer any questions I have. The vast majority of other games still work great and are well-maintained as well.

Nice place to go bowling, and the Spark lanes are cool for the little ones. They also have a bunch of arcade games. But they have inconsistent pricing. While waiting in line, the screen displayed $52.95 per hour for the Spark lanes. When I got up to the counter, they then showed me a laminated pricing sheet with a price for the Spark lanes at $63 an hour, a $10 increase. I asked why there was a difference in the pricing. The person helping didn't know, so she went around asking the other employees. She eventually came back and said their system hadn't been updated yet for the new pricing. I requested they adjust the price to what was displayed, but they refused. Also, when we started bowling, everyone around us had outside food. My wife decided to go grab some stuff before the mall closed. By the time she came back, there were security guards at the entrance. They refused to let her come up with the food, so she had to go put it out in the car. So, depending on what time you show up and if they have security guards working, you might not be able to bring food in.
