It's important to note that Thomas Town is not a standalone theme park. It's more akin to a themed area within a larger park, similar to how certain movie-themed areas exist within Universal Studios. This means the Thomas experience is limited and part of a broader amusement park environment.

The area features approximately five rides designed for children and accompanying adults. There is also a gift shop offering Thomas-themed merchandise.

Customer reviews indicate that the area is "a nice small part of the park" for young children. However, it's also noted that the experience is limited and should be understood as a small section within Kennywood.

One customer reported that "2 trains one the lights weren't on," referring to it as a "ghost train," suggesting potential maintenance or operational issues.

Visitors should be aware that Thomas Town offers a limited experience and is best suited for young children who are fans of Thomas the Tank Engine. It's not a full-fledged Thomas theme park.

While I didn't ride the Thomas rides I did check them all out and got a photo and saw the gift shop as well. Not this isn't a Thomas Theme park. Its Kennywood. Like universal studios that has small parts of an area for a certain movie or ride. Kennywood has a small part for Thomas. You are not getting a whole experience since this is a small part of a bigger part. You show know this before and can even tell if anyone would look online on their website. Its 5 rides for kids and their adults. I was almost tempted to go on one of the rides myself. Its a nice small part of the park for him and the friends.

2 trains one the lights weren't on. We called it a ghost train.

i felt personally attackked by the rides and how they were working. first off, i tried to go on a thomas town ride but they said i was too old. Mind you I am only 35 and i am 4 foot 3 300 lbs which my mom says is perfectly healthy. back to the story though, I am still living with my parents and we chose to go to the park and we were excited. The ride operator for the drop towwer at tomas town told me i was too fat to get on the ride and i smelled very bad. I showered last week so i think im fine. My mom went and told them how mean that was to say and to get me on the ride. I threw a fit and cried but my mom said she would take away my xbox if i kept crying. So i stopped crying and we left. i am happy to go back to being a discord admin though.

Worst experience ever to begin it rained and all the rides had to shut down which we understand it's no fault of the park. But the one thing I was mostly disappointed with is I thought the whole park was about Thomas the Train when we got there it was only a small section and which which was truly Thomas friends. The best part was the thomas train ride on my grandson really loved it. It was maybe five rides in total that were thomas and friends three of them did not work. The gift shop was very expensive which is to be expected because we're at amusement park. We really was disappointed with not enough Thomas attractions for the little ones.

This is by far the worst amusement park I have ever been to in my life. The rides were extremely boring and the biggest one the phantom was not even that great. I waited in line for 2 hours for the rocket and when I got to the end I found out why. They had me as the only one on the ride. Their were 12 other seats but they sent me by myself. On the old mill they were sanitizing the boats and sending them empty after each person making the line take twice as long as it should have. This was pointless as all the people in line were touching and leaning against the same isle bars and fences which were not being cleaned, and they never did this with the other rides, plus the ride was so boring that even a child would be bored yet it was the newest one.The staff was very rude as one of them told me to put a mask on, as soon as I stepped off the ride. I tried to explain to her that it fell off on the roller coaster her response, "I don't care, buy one at the gift shop". There is no way I was going to buy another mask after every ride, plus my wife was getting dizzy and faint wearing a mask on all the rides. It is dangerous to enforce something like that and if they really cared about people's wellbeing in regards to COVID they wouldn't be open. All they care about is making a buck not the welfare of their guests, every so called safety measure was for show and did next to nothing to stop the spread of COVID. Waste of 50 bucks and am never going back.
