Between 2 of us, we were able to get through The Cod3 escape room in under the time allowed. It was challenging and lots of fun to figure out each piece of the puzzle, and there were lots of pieces! We were so thrilled with the experience that we are going back this coming weekend to do another escape room at Escapology! Great experience! I highly recommend to anyone who loves puzzles!

This location is not as well maintained as other states. We won't be back. Cords had shorts in them. Game master said we didn't shove it in hard enough. They tell you to be gentle with things. Locks were same to same combo when it says otherwise. She told me they are underpaid and underfunded and can't fix the broken things. It was basically like too bad we don't care. She wouldn't give me her managers info. Don't go here.

I did the "mansion murder" escape room with a group of friends a few months ago. I was disappointed in the lack of effort and laziness of the game master. We started the room by him telling us there is a white board and marker in the first room and if we write out our thoughts and ideas throughout the room, he would give us more hints (without asking), helping us out. We entered the room with no marker to be found in any of the hints or anywhere in the first room. We spent at least ten minutes throughout clues looking for it only to find out after he forgot to put it in the room. The next room we were in required a calculator to move on to the next step. Mind you, the step we were on NEEDED a calculator, not just something you could do in your head. They provided one, however it broke while we were playing. Just stopped working. We couldn't use our phones as they told us earlier we would be kicked out without question if they saw a phone being pulled out. We yelled and asked the camera for help and need help for a new calculator multiple times however the screen only had automated responses for the clues if we asked for some. He just kept posting the same answer to the clue we had already figured out. We spent the last fifteen to twenty minutes asking for a calculator and trying to figure out the math in our heads because no one would come and help us. The timer went off and we were let out of the room. He said he could hear us the whole time, but then said nothing more about the matter. We asked him for the time back and he said he couldn't do anything about it we didn't finish the room. I leave two stars because the room itself was fun, I just wish we could have got to finish it. Very disappointing birthday celebration.

We did two rooms tonight. This brings us up to 28/19 rooms total. Both were solid Gen 2 rooms with a couple of fun puzzles we hadn't seen before. Under Pressure was fun - we did not escape. We attribute this to "finding things" rather than "puzzle solving" if that makes sense. Talking with the GM after we'd guess the success rate would go up if they just made things a little less tedious on one specific point. Good number of puzzles though. Murder Mansion - we did escape (#27/100 on the leader boards). Much more coherent flow of puzzles and some other fun things we were happy with. We were happy with the quality of the rooms and the service we received. We will be coming back to do their other two rooms. Things worth noting - they have a bounce back discount for same day bookings and they allow you to book rooms with only 2 people. We appreciate these little business choices so much as enthusiasts.

I want to start this review by stating that I have been in dozens of rooms, and have never had such a negative experience as this place provided. We have a friend’s group that plays 1-2 games per month. Mind you, we’ve hit every escape room in Utah County and are working through Salt Lake County escape rooms. We booked two rooms back to back, and were severely disappointed due to the laziness and lack of attention of the game master. The game master didn’t start the pregame video and we had to locate him after waiting 10 minutes so we could start the game. After completing, we walked out waiting to get the intro into our second game but couldn’t find him. He eventually popped out and led us into the second game. We were solving clues and hit a point to where we couldn’t progress. We could tell a key was supposed to be used but nothing occurred when turning. We asked for the hint and he gave us a clue from two puzzles ago; we protested and he gave us a second clue to the key that wasn’t working. He then entered and stated that the key was supposed to work. We thought maybe we were using it out of order but we had been stuck there for 10 minutes and he never noticed. We told him we wanted our 10 minutes back. He gave us only two minutes and burned two of our hints even though we asked for one, and were only stuck because the puzzle was broke and he never noticed. Later in the game we asked for another hint and the same occurred. The guy was just terrible at his job. Management, please retrain him and appoint someone better. We will not be back for the other rooms because this guy just ruined your location. People reading the review, you will never feel as cheated in a game as to when you solve puzzles that don’t work and have a game master who isn’t paying attention to keep the flow going. Do not go here. It’s garbage.
