Round1 Bowling & Arcade Danbury Fair Mall

I had such a great experience at Round 1! The employees were incredibly nice and went above and beyond to help me when I was struggling with the claw machine. They were so patient and they made the experience even more fun. It’s clear the staff genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a good time. Their kindness and willingness to help really stood out, and I left feeling so happy with my visit. I’ll definitely be back for more games and great service!

Crazy assortment of video games and insane amount of claw machines. They offer bowling and pool as well. They have modern arcade games and also old school ones. It was Sunday and I saw a technician working on troubleshooting a game so that's a huge plus. The bar looked cool and they have an interesting menu over at the snack bar. It's good to see an arcade back at the mall. Pricing was fair in my opinion and the entire place was very clean

This place used to be a favorite for my kids. Especially their massive array of claw machines that allowed a fair chance for them to win stuffed animals. Not sure what changed but during a recent visit we saw several popular machines “out of service” and the claw machines were clearly calibrated to impossibly frustrating levels, almost bringing a kid to tears. The place was also virtually empty, which sounds nice but is an indication of a shift. If you’re going to go, just stick to the bowling alley.

We recently had a birthday party at Round 1 in the Danbury Mall, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Leading up to the party, no one contacted me to confirm final numbers or go over any details. I emailed the person listed on the confirmation—no response. I then called and spoke to a manager, who told me the party coordinator would be available during specific hours. I showed up an hour after that time, and he still wasn’t there. When he finally arrived, we reviewed the party, and he promised to call 2–3 days before the event to finalize everything. That call never happened. On the day of the party, the assistant assigned to us was completely unprepared. She seemed confused the entire time and didn’t know how to assist. We had to repeatedly ask for help setting up the bowling lanes, including getting bumpers for a group of 7- and 8-year-olds. When the food arrived, she didn’t offer any help serving or organizing it. We ordered wings, and they came out plain—no sauce, nothing. At the end of the party, there was no help with cleanup either. Overall, the lack of communication and disorganization made what should have been a fun, stress-free day unnecessarily frustrating.

My husband and I just had a party here with a group of 8 kids including the parents. We used the party package. It was the absolute BEST experience. We didn't feel rushed, the food was HOT, DELICIOUS & came out fast. Not to mention our host Rubin was the biggest blessing. He even came in on his day off, as we requested him to be our host, which meant the world to us. Everyone had a great time and left exhausted from all the food & fun. We couldn't be anymore grateful for Round1 and their AMAZING hospitality. They sure do know how to treat their guests & run a good party. Everyone we know will know about this place & I had to make it my business to post a review because they deserve more than just my words. God bless and we WILL be back.
