Environment: Based on customer reviews, the environment at the Baton Rouge location appears to differ from other Skal Axe Throwing venues. One reviewer noted the absence of a bar with TVs, smaller lanes without metal gratings, and no party room, which were present in the Covington location. They also mentioned the venue was hot with no air conditioning and that the TVs were not broadcasting during their visit.

Services: Skal Axe Throwing primarily offers axe throwing as its main service. However, feedback suggests a reduction in the ancillary services compared to other locations. The Baton Rouge location reportedly does not serve alcohol or most food items, offering only popcorn, soda, and snacks. One reviewer also noted a lack of guidance from the coach regarding the point system and trick shots. In contrast, a more recent review praised staff members Sarah and Tevin for being amazing, friendly, and helpful.

Features: The core feature is axe throwing. However, the Baton Rouge location seems to lack some of the additional features found in other Skal Axe Throwing venues, such as a bar, food service (beyond snacks), and potentially organized events like tournaments associated with the World Axe Throwing League. The absence of these features was noted as a potential drawback in maintaining long-term interest for some visitors.

Promotional Information: Looking for axe throwing in Baton Rouge? Skal Axe Throwing offers the opportunity to try this exciting activity. While one experienced visitor noted some differences compared to other Skal locations, including the absence of a bar, extensive food options, and potentially a less engaging coaching experience, another recent guest highlighted amazing, friendly, and helpful staff. If you're interested in trying axe throwing and are looking for a straightforward experience, Skal Axe Throwing in Baton Rouge might be worth checking out. Please note that alcohol and a full food menu may not be available, and the environment may lack some of the social hangout aspects found at other similar venues. However, positive interactions with staff have also been reported.

Based on customer feedback, the environment and services may differ from other locations within the franchise, particularly regarding the availability of alcohol, food, and additional social amenities. Unfortunately a watered down experience As a person fairly familiar with this franchise. 1st discovering them in Biloxi. Then as they added the Covington location. The BR location failed to deliver on the same exp. Ive known it was coming a while just like the Covington location but it feels like a downgrade. The Covington location had a bar with TVs larger lanes with metal gratings and a party room. The Covington location was nice. They had food and alcoholic drink items. And we're always trying new creations which kept it interesting. Which made it a unique hangout spot prob not much different than top golf. Plus they ran tournaments as a World axe throwing league affiliated place should. The coaches at both this and the biloxi locations had their own quirks and personalities and the biloxi location used to have food trucks coming in on the weekend This is important bc it keeps interest and gives a reason to come back. Bc being honest axe throwing is cool but it gets old FAST. If you have a lane to yourself kinda like top golf u get kinda burned out before the end. The other social aspects make up for this bc then u could have a drink or try a food item. Making it a more hangout spot. Plus there used to be more promotional days like 30 min Thursdays for 15$ and a free food item between 12-2. (cheaper price and better value as usually 30 min is about as long as the intrigue will last) Seems like this location dropped that in favor of catering more to college students. Alcohol is no where to be found and most of the food items are non existent replace with popcorn and soda and snacks. Plus the when I went none of the TVs were broadcasting and it was Hot like there was NO AC. Plus for some odd reason they have no cash on site. Nor will they take it?? I went here on a date and we were both kinda bored with it by Hrs end and left early. Plus the coach here didn't even tell her about the point system. Nor offered any kind of trick shot tutorial that I came to expect. Especially considering when I pulled up it was empty and not a soul walked in the hr we were there. Slightly concerned about the move decision here as ain Covington they were the only game in town. BR already has Civil axe throwing on government which is next to a lil night club and let's u bring your own drinks and Gotham Archery and Axe Throwing which has 2 activities plus Mr Ken the owner is awesome and super personable. They also have archery leagues for youth and now adults and a store on site. TLDR:To me the draw was a cool date night or hangout spot and the removal of alcohol and food... Took it like a cool Top golf ( but with axes EXP) Something that's cool but without the other activities or social aspects looses alot of its draw. 30$ may be better off another place like the other axe throwing venues or quarters or Top golf that have a lil more going on at the venue than the main course 🤷🏿‍♂️

Had a great time here last night! We were the only ones there but it was a lot of fun. You do get a coach that helps with the basics of throwing. They have some food and snack for purchase :)

Our group had so much fun! Our coach Sam was funny and engaging and really helped us with our throwing technique. A great option for small groups or date night!
